We would like to extend our sincere gratitude to all who joined us hand in the construction of the Cathedral. It has been so by financial support from all parishes in the diocese, by personal donation within the diocese as well as   donation from generous people oversees. May God bless you all for any donation you offered to enable the completion of the Temple of God for the Church in Geita!

Consecration of the New Cathedral, dedicated to "Mary, Queen of Peace," was officiated on September 26, 2010, during the Anniversary’s Holy Mass.   The Cathedral accommodates 2500 people. It is one of the largest Churches in Tanzania.

At any rate, we are still looking a generous financial support on church requirements like church holy articles, Mass vestments, chalices, Ciborium, Monstrance, etc. these are very expensive and not easily obtained in Tanzania. Thank you for your continued support.
